G'day All
I have a '87 900 model with the 16 valve 2.0L motor and manual G/B. The vehicle has travelled 150,000 miles and runs extremely well and is 100% relaible.
Over the past 12 months it has developed a reasonant vibaration from the engine bay that comes in around 2,800rpm and leaves at around 3,100rpm. All anciliaries appear to be ok such as water pump, pwr steer, new a/c comp and clutch. The noise and vibration is however getting worse suggesting that something is wearing out and unfortunately the rpm range corresponds to 100km/h here in Australia (62mph)thus making it extermely frustrating.
The car has been serviced and checked by two saab "experts" to no avail chewing up around $2,000 in the process. I have resigned myself to waiting for whatever it is to explode/break.
Any ideas about what it could be or has anyone had a similair experience?
Regards. PaulS
