Sorry for slow response. Re AMM, the 380 ohm setting is only a starting point. Bentley is incomplete here. If you have a digital voltmeter, you can connect the positive probe to the back of the O2 sensor connector single wire, negative to ground, and with the car running, adjust the AMM until the voltmeter swings about 50/50 around 0.5 volts. Too lean (mostly <0.05 volts), you will flunk the Nox emission test, if your O2 sensor can't compensate. And if you get way too lean, the engine will backfire like crazy under load. This ain't rocket science so I would not hesitate to fiddle with it.
If you have Bougicord or magnicore wires, they last a long time, Bosch wires don't and are suspect. I find that my plugs need to be regapped every 10k miles or so...in fact they're due now and my car is getting a little sluggish.
