If I was going to pull the differential out of the tranny, I would NOT be removing the transmission. I just want to know if you can pull the differential out with the steering rack in place. But perhaps I should be asking if the differential can be pulled out with the tranny in the car. As far as I can tell, the service manual says the differential is removed through the rear after removing the rear differential cover, and the two inner driver flanges. Is this right?
