Replacing hoses is a nice touch, but as you've found out, probably not the right fix.
It would be nice to know which year car you have. Since you mentioned turbo hoses, I'll assume it's a turbo.
Step 1- how are the spark plugs? Are they the specified NGK's gapped per the manual, and in good shape? If not, do so. Old plugs and incorrect gap can cause boost problems. Same if the spark plug wires are old, cap and rotor worn. Of course, set the timing right.
Step 2 - (again, depends on year) - is the AMM set right? Is the O2 sensor old? Part of this will come from the spark plugs - how did they look when you pulled them out? Running rich, lean, or just right?
Basically, it's not worth chasing problems if you haven't done a decent tune-up in a few years. That fixes an amazing amount of stuff. If you've already done a tune-up, then start looking for problems.
Is the hesitation when you first move out from a stop, or is it when you're underway, and are asking for a lot of boost? If it's when you first start out, it may be the AMM. If it's when you ask for a lot of boost, it may be a boost/knock issue. That could be plug gap (wide plugs cause misfiring under boost), or it could be a knock issue causing a cut-back to base boost. Does it get better with a better grade of fuel?
Please let us know what year and engine you have, along with what things you have and haven't done. Please also be more specific about when you get the hesitation (starting off, cold/warm engine, under boost), and more detail.
