Well I just dove into a new Saab for me! Never drove or riden in a 9000...but just bought a 1988 9000 Turbo 5-speed off ebay today! I got it reasonably cheap, and am just looking to fix the AC and mainly get myself aquainted with the 9000 series. Eventually (if I do not grow TOO addicted to the whirr and hit of the turbo..we shall see :-) will sell it here on Saabnet.
This is my delemia...
I currently have full coverage on my '91 900S. For this 9000, I want to basically get it back here to school (Marietta OH) from where it is being sold (Columbus OH) which is like 2 hours. I will not be driving the car while I am doing the fixup work to it and such, so there is no need to get insurance on it as it is going to sit in the parking lot for a few months as I tinker and fix. What are the options for getting the car back here to school w.o. having to pay a hauler etc... I considered the option of a tow dolly..but I really would like to drive it back.
Does anyone have any experience on this issue? Like when buying a parts car that will drive, but you are going to "kill" it once it gets home.
Thanks guys...and not to worry...I am DEF not getting rid of my car...even if i get addicted again to the turbo...
