I just bought a 92 turbo convertible. Automatic. I thought i would learn to live with the auto as the car is otherwise what i wanted. It just had the tranny rebuilt. My questions are these...Where there two different gear ratio's for this car, one for turbo and non turbo? I am thinking this might be a tranny rebuild for a base or s model. Anyway the car does 3800 rpm at 65 miles and hour which i think is intolerable. Eats gas and sounds worse...ALso is it insane to even think about changing the ratio? Im assuming the tranny would have to come out, in which case a 5 speed is goin in..How about a taller tire?? I realise this might make the car go faster but the spedo would read the same as it goes into the tranny.
This is bummin me out!
any ideas welcome
