I had a similar problem. The rpms would drop when I came to a stop and pushed in the clutch. Although the rpms dipped, I never thought the car would stall. Usually people would point to the turbo bypass (hooter) valve, but mine was brand new.
I noticed my dashpot was shot so I replaced it with a new one. That helped out a bit.
It still happens to me, but I think it only happens when my cooling fans are on. I'm still working on this theory, but I'm guessing that the electrical load from the fans is taxing the engine until the aic valve realizes that the rpms are falling too low and opens up to allow more air into the throttle.
My AIC valve is brand new too, so I'm guessing that if my alternator was able to put out more juice I wouldn't get the rpm dip.
Just my thoughts/guesses
Good luck,
Chris 85t
