Well, 5 1/2 hours after we started, the engine is out. No big problems, however...those of you considering the large exhaust system may want to bear in mind that the downpipe gets in the way when attempting to pull the motor. SHEESH!
As we lifted it out, the body decided to come along for the ride. We discovered the driver-side motor mount hadn't fully released from the frame...but when it did, our hearts almost jumped out of our chests.
The only thing we broke in the whole job was the stem for the clutch fluid...oh well.
Thanks for tuning in everyone...some interesting threads you had going. Tomorrow we'll pull the tranny apart and post some picts and then have a little contest to see who can figure out what went wrong.
My money is on the chains in the transfer case...we'll see.
Winner of the contest gets a signed photo of Jeff & Royce with the engine. :)
