My 87 hits the rev limiter at about 6200, right around 120.
Steady as a rail...
If your front end feels light, air is getting under there. Check your front spoiler and/or add an inch or so of spoiler, either aftermarket or even (shudder) poprivet some heavy duty 1/4" thick rubber (conveyer belt material works pretty good) material or fabricate a fiberglass extender.
Most of the european-delivery cars seemed to have a different aspect...higher in the rear and lower in the front or maybe just lower in the front than NA cars. You could drop the front by 30mm or so (SPG or aftermarket springs) that would improve aero as well as handling at a cost of stiffer ride.
