The master cylinder is only a year old, so unless pressure bleeding blew some seals, I doubt that's it. I can believe that, that was my guess. I had to "adjust" the green elbows to get them to thread in, as I said before. That's a good guess regarding the bleeding screws, perhaps they're just letting air into the tube.
My brakes work well, two test-drives now. The pedal seems mushy but they're not broken. I was hoping SAABnet might shed some light on the problem, perhaps bring up something that was more certain.
I'm quite fed up with my car right now. I've done *tons* of work over the past two weeks, preventive maintainence and stuff that should have been done a long time ago but got overlooked. (Suspension and the like.)
I've pretty much decided to ignore it for the moment. Nothing's definitive. I'll fix it if it's really broken. I'm going to take it on a 3 hour drive tomorrow, that will allow me to determine if there's any major dysfunction.
If it's master cylinder, easy to fix realistically. If it's brake lines, annoying but easy. There's no leaks, I know that much. I was trying to get things worked out so I wouldn't have anything to do after I move. At least if it's that type of brake work, it's easy to do when I'm short on time.
Thanks!
