Fuba style antenna for stock location? Help!

Hey guys,
My power antenna motor just died, so instead of popping in a new unit, I decided to go with a regular fuba style antenna, but I would like to keep it in the stock location. I can't use one of the roof mount fubas because they're at a 60 degree angle, plus the angle of the fender, the antenna would be paralell to the ground, which would look really stupid. I'd like a regular 14"-16" long antenna that is straight up and down.
I am using a website called Antenna World that I found while searching here. Link below...
I found a few antennas, but they need kits in order to hold them onto the body and to make a watertight seal. The antennas are pretty cheap, at anywhere from $11 to $22 each. The antennas are simply sold alone, the antenna only, with a threaded opening at the bottom. This does not include any of the hardware that would be needed to screw into the body, where the hole is, nor does it include the very necessary gasket.
Does anyone have any advice? Anyone do this before? I do not want to roof mount the antenna, just like to find a tasteful shorter than OEM antenna to fit the stock location to replace my broken power antenna.
Thanks!
Taylor
RIP Kyle & Tim
