Thats a good idea...I hadn't thought of that,I got a spare psr & was dismantling to see if the inner tie rods are compatible-do you know if they are?
My most hated phrase is discontinued!-NLA is the pits!
I think I'll shoot an email to Elkparts in the UK,they're very helpful & helped me out on my last quest by contacting the parts warehouse in Sweden(I was looking for the fender flares for 900t,similar to SPG flares but full length-I've only seen them fitted to Euro specced)...of course they were NO LONGER AVAILABLE!!!!!!!!!
Have you got a 79 900 EMS rack?-3.5 turns lock-to-lock...I contacted a co. in the UK called TAS(TransAutoSport) who manufactures a line of quick ratio racks(Quik Rak),most are 2.5 TLL,but they were unwilling to do a "one off"-do you think theres enough interest to generate a group buy of maybe 10-15 units?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?...otherwise I'll be fitting a NASCAR style "steering quickener" mounted inline w/ the steering shaft...Summit sells em for around $160...I've heard the Coleman unit is better than the Howe unit...I'd rather have a legit rack, which TAS is capable of fabricating...a kit...the rack itself & pinion...
PS
Do you know who manufactured the manual racks for Saab?
nobody seems to know!
