Could be electric but depends on your symptoms exactly. Do you have driveability problems after the stall? Does your auto start, stall, start, stall and then start and run just fine all within a short period of time (in the morning hours mostly)? Do you have a turbo? If yes, then does this happen after blipping the throttle at low speeds? This could be anything from a fauty hooter valve (on a turbo), to a faulty Fuel Control Module, to simply not having screwed in the oil dipstick well enough after having checked your levels. Fuel pumps tend to give some audible indication of impending doom and then, with no specific time frame, plum fail. Intermittent problems are more induction or electrically related (excl. fuel pump). But exceptions can and will occur...
