finally had the time this weekend to work in the trunk. found a coiuple of areas that had been squeaking constantly. one area was the rear seat back. one of the rubber tabs the seat back sits against, was missing and allowing play in the seat back. fixed temporarily by rolling a couple fingers from a rubber glove and taping on the tab to fill the space. the other area were found under the flooring in the trunk. two allen screws and the bottom was out. the two tabs on the underside of the flooring had bent over the years and were actually rubbing on the body. bent them back straight again. also found a few areas under the flooring that appeared to be rubbing on the wood. i added a few layers of duct tape to take up any play and help cushion. finally, lubed up the hinges for the two pieces in the flooring as they were somewhat rusty and squeaky.

today, validation on my quiet drive in to work. good times...
