Automatic to 5 Speed Conversion

Please provide insight... In the near future (when the auto fails) I will be converting my 88 900 Turbo rag top from automatic transmission to 5 speed.

I purchased a 5 speed 86 900 Turbo coupe to get all parts needed for conversion. The parts car has been stripped and the 5 speed has been separated from engine and cleaned (on the outside).

Before stripping the parts car, I drove it around the neighborhood and the tranny seemed to shift fine and didn't have any wierd noises. Don't have any history on the 5 speed... only know the car had 225K miles on it.

What is the most prudent thing to do before installing... Should any seals be replaced or should the tranny be over hauled... what should I expect to pay for that.
