That's what the independant Saab shops have learned Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Tue, 20 May 2003 08:18:35 In Reply to: After Market Heater Control Valve warning, Andrey, Tue, 20 May 2003 07:38:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
the hard way over and over again.
Not everything that is cheaper is better!
It's soo many voices raised on this board how "cheap" you can get parts from some suppliers, and the that the dealer and indy shops are ripping customers of with their high prices on parts.
Some aftermarket suppliers DO carry good stuff, but it's defenitly not the cheapest one that is good.
As an indy shop you get a better chance to weed out the bad stuff, since you replace so many of the same parts on a whole bunch of cars.
The "flat" surface of some cheap heater valves (mating to core) have in some cases been warped to the point where the O-ring couldn't seal the gap, and it leaked right away.
