900 lighting/wiring problems - help! Posted by Frank [Email] (#2509) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Frank) on Thu, 22 May 2003 09:57:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My '90 900 is doing somthing I think I've seen on other 900s around town... (1) the turn signals do not work when the headlights are on, (2) the turn signals work fine otherwise - but the relay speed (i.e. the blinking) slows when the brake lights come on, (3) when the brakes are applied, both turn signal indicators on the dash illuminate slightly. I believe this is a grounding problem - is this easily solved by a better ground? Any idea where the ground is? I'm expecting it to be back around the LH rear lighting assembly, but any help locating would be appreciated.
I figure I'll just run a jumper wire to the ground to test/confirm - the car isn't very rusty at all, so I'm somewhat surprised by this. Seems worse when it rains, but this has only been happening now for 4-5 days. Thanks in advance.
