there are these small pieces of cable on both sides of the seat frame that have probably broken. The cable attaches the seat frame base to the seat frame back and is about 3 inches long so that when the seat back is moved forward in a 3dr or conv, the seat has a stop and won't keep going. In my case, I saw the broken cables hanging out the bottom (pull the seat back release and flip the seat up and you can probably see the cables just under the edge of the upholstry/leather). I posted here several times to see if anyone had ever seen this problem before and got no answers. So I took the seat apart and figured out what they did. I couldn't see a way to get new cables without getting a new seat frame which was out of the question. So I got some length of cable and wrapped it around the two posts with about a 3" length in between the posts-adjust the length to suit so that the seat doesn't slam into the glove box/steering wheel. I then got clamps to clamp the cable together at the ends around the posts. You will know what I am talking about when you take the seat apart. And yes, you will need to take the seat apart to get to where the attachments are located. good luck
