I posted a couple of weeks ago about about my 1984 900S running *very* rough after a heavy rain. Four or five responses said it's probably small cracks in the distributor cap, seemed to to be the consensus. I tried to pop it off to inspect it, but couldn't quite get to the clip on the left-hand side. I'll try again today.

In the meantime, it happened again on Sunday after another heavy rain (it's been that kind of spring here). Only this time, it's not drying out and running smoothly again like it did last time. Is it possible the cap is permanently fouled now? I'm thinking either that, or I might not have snapped everything back into place when I got it half off the other day.

In any case, sounds like it's time for a new one. I assume these are inexpensive and and easy fix?
