I just changed my hood badge recently. It took a few tries. At first I was only able to get one strand in. Using one strand did not provide much pressure and the floss broke fairly easily. The next try I doubled it up and used 2 strands. When that broke I used 3 strands. That was able to eventually lift it up. Note the location of the tangs and try to wrap the floss close to the tangs. Wiggle back and forth gently. Never pull the badge too much on either side. Just slowly but surly from each side.
Good Luck!
