Suggest you go to townsendimports.com It does sound like you have the infamous hot no-start problem. The Bosch starter solenoids are very unforgiving- if they don't get 12V, they don't work.
There is a lot of wiring between the ignition switch and the starter solenoid. The ignition switch itself might be going, but the fact that you have this problem when the engine is hot suggests the problem(s) are closer to the engine bay. Normally, the simplest solution is the addition of a Ford solenoid to provide 12V from the battery to the Bosch solenoid. It shouldn't be any more complicated to wire with the battery in the trunk. I would suggest installing a Ford solenoid in the engine bay where you can use the existing wiring to the Bosch solenoid (to close the Ford solenoid circuit) and run a new 12V power supply from a 12V power source (at a terminal) to the Ford solenoid.
