Don't blame yourself harshly - ATE uses bleed nipples two sizes smaller than most. This is why I prefer to *vacuum bleed* the calipers after packing silicone grease all around the bleed nipple. This keeps the fluid out of the threads and allows some silicone grease to migrate in to further seal out moisture. Anyway, you *can* bleed the brakes if you're patient.
Presumably you were attempting your annual brake fluid flush. Remove the calipers from the steering knuckle and then unscrew them from the flexible hose. Use something to plug the flexible hose so you don't drain out all the brake fluid.
Now pour the old fluid out of the caliper and refill it with new, through the hole where the flexible hose mounts. turn it around this way and that to make sure all the air is out. Now, with the brake fluid dripping out the flexible hose, screw the caliper back onto the hose fitting, making certain that the caliper is full to the brim and fluid is pouring out the hose and past the threads as you tighten. I have done this on ATE dual piston calipers like the older C900 has on the back. Single piston calipers should be even easier.
Whatever you do, don't even imagine using an "easy out".
An alternative is to drill and tap the caliper for a larger bleed nipple. I have not ever tried this, b/c once you get the easy out broken off inside the bleed nipple, you no longer can drill it... :-\
