Ok, I've done my homework on this one, and it still has me scratching my head. 1988 Turbo convertible; my wife suddenly complains of random dash lignts turning on when turn signals are actuated. Here are the symptoms:
- turns signals do not operate (turning lights do). I've replace flasher and checked for bad ground at rear lights. BTW, my vote is to remove knee bolster to access flasher.
- hazard lights _do_ work.
- with ignition on, but engine not running, only brake fluid and parking brake lights are on bright. Oil light gradually fades on dimly. Alternator light is _not_ on. If parking brake is released, brake fluid, parking brake, and oil lights all glow dim.
- with engine running, brake fluid light remains on with parking brake light (parking brake on). Actuating turn signals makes tach go up a little. If parking brake is released, lights go out, until turn signal is actuated, which results in bright parking brake and brake fluid lights, as well as tach jumping to about 5 grand.
- alternator _does_ appear to charge, once you give the engine one quick rev up. (monitoring voltage)

I'm at my wits end - anybody run into anything like this?
