i recently went through a situation with another saabnet sponsor that i found unacceptable: poor customer service and lack of response to emails. i am p-o'd enough that i will probably not buy parts from them again. and i've spent *hundreds* of dollars with this company, strongly recommended them *dozens* of times here on saabnet, and even defended them when others posted about problems with them.
i have also patronized another sponsor who provided good service on the phone but also didn't answer email and once tried to upsell me on a product that, when i told him i thought it was not worth it (cross-drilled rotors), he then agreed with me and wondered aloud why someone would buy them--just moments after trying to sell them to me!
anyone who clicks on "more from gorper" will find that i value saabnet and regularly encourage people to support its sponsors. but the sponsors need to do double duty here: not only must they purchase advertising from Scott, but they must conduct business well, too.
i as an online consumer in 2003 expect email response within 3-4 hours (during business hours), that simple requests not be ignored (such as a signature waiver on an overnight shipment), and some courtesy after experiencing continued problems with products I purchased from them.

and, chaz, as for being genuinely annoyed, re-read your post: you were promised something that he, literally, did not deliver on. at the least, you should have received a call/email to alert you to the problem. it's a bummer when you schedule some time during your weekend to work on your car & you don't get the parts you need to do it.
i don't know, i used to deal with customers and spent a lot of time trying to make things right for them, so maybe i'm more sensitive to poor customer service than others......
