SPG`s springs

I recently purchased a lovely -84 base model c900GLi. New engine was installed -93 and at the same time, or later was suspension upgraded into "US aero". This is what previous owner told me. So I assume that there are SPG`s springs and dampers.
The question is, how high SPG suspension rides?
The gap in front between the fender´s side and top of the tyre is 77mm(about 3inches). In rear this same gap is only 20mm (less than one inch). I dislike the look of, car and it behaves badly when under load. Naturally weight in boot doesn't make car go better, but I try to find an improvement in current situation. So are rear springs worn out, and now ride lower than it was intended to do?
