got what was left of the bolt out, it was strangely sheared, as if by the ground wire. it was also much much shorter than the bottom bolt which i also took out. I replaced both with external hex bolts, both were 8mm 1.25p. hopefully the external hex will make them both much easier to remove in the future. im still wondering how the bolt failed like that, because it appears to have been cut, and its all burned. the burning is obviously from the ground wire arcing, could the wire have also cut the bolt like that? thanks for all the input, and hapy saabing to everyone
