Radio Installation

O.K. I'm back. I have received all my required materials from Crutchfield, have read all the manuals and understand all points of installation except one, Bypassing the amp. First, I want to be sure that the black box under the drivers side rear seat is the amp. It is about 8" long 4-5" wide, and says Adiovox on it. Now, what I need to do is route my rear speaker wires from the amp to the front of the car, but the wires coming out of the speakers (white and white/brown) do not match any of the wires at the amp. I was under the impression I could just cut the output amp wires and crimp on a length of speaker wire to bypass the amp. So, which wires from the amp are the speaker wires?
Lastly, Crutchfield recommends installing a metal strap behind the head unit to keep it from bouncing or straining the dash mount. However this strap was not supplied and I'm not even sure there is a spot to install it in the dash cavity. How has this been handled with other Saab installations? Or is it just precautionary/uneccesary.
Once again, I would appreciate any help on the amp bypass and the bracket.
