I just welded up a new exhaust system for my 93 S Covertable last night. Basically ran 2 1/4 all the way back, no cat and utilized a knock-off muffler (not really even a muffler considering you could look right through it!).

Result: Nice throaty idle, somewhat louder at 1500-2500 and then quiets down to just louder than a Turbo by 3000. I haven't spent much time in it on the road but am thinking that it shouldnt be to bad with the top dropped. Additionally the "muffler" should break in somewhat over the next couple K miles which I am thinking will soften it even more.

K&N is going on this afternoon... I just want to get the motor to breath a little. There was an increase in acceleration, and down-shifts are certainly going to be fun with all the Fast and Furious mod guys on the roads these days.
