Jumped the car, let it charge...
After a while, started the car. Started right up. This was while still connected to the truck I was jumping from.
While still connected, tried the radio. It worked. I eventually tried putting as much load on as I could - radio (moderatley loud), headlights, fog lights, rear defrost, hazzards, AC, etc. I tried many different combinations, but eventually, every time, after adding load, the radio would start to sputter out. I'd then turn one of the accesories off and the radio would act normal again.
I didn't have a voltmeter so I was never able to test things that way.
After a while, I disconnected from the truck and eventually, under no load, the car crapped out.
At this point, everything was too hot for me to get the voltage regulator out and check the brushes. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow so I won't be able to mess with the car again until Sunday.

P.S. I now have no brake lights (tail lights okay though), which wasn't a problem before all of this. I also noticed my third brake light wasn't working. Checked the fuse - blown. Replaced fuse, tried brake again - it blew. Did it one more time - blew. This was when I noticed that ALL of the brake lights were inop. Prior to actually placing my ice scraper between the seat and the brake pedal to hold the brakes on so I could walk to the rear, I had only been looking for the little bit of light emitting from under the cover of the third brake light.
Yet another Saabie at his wits end.
