Without jacking up the car, i turned wheel hard left and was able to access the caliper arm (flashing blue in the FAQ picture). I left the E-brake cable attached and indeed i needed to manually pull the arm to force it into the 'release' position.
So now that i've diagnosed this, what does it mean?!?
-the FAQ mentions a bushing kit, but i don't know what bushings are around this area
-is it possibly the E-brake cable is making it stick?
-what do i need to replace? Can i rule out calipers (hopefully)
-possible some WD-40 will fix this (temporary or permanent fix?). What part exactly would i spray this on?
-if i unhook the E-brake cable, will this prevent the sticking until i can fix this, or does that caliper arm move when the brakes are applied via the pedal also?
Sorry for so many question, i guess what i'm asking is: How do i know if it's the e-brake cable, bushings, or something else that now needs to be replaced? (and is there something to do to fix temporarily so that i can drive the car this weekend)
I have time to look/work on the car this weekend, and then i'll order parts on Monday from a site sponsor.
Thanks for any help you can offer (and for the help already received)
