Sounds like you have new style headlights. If so, you can remove the assy by taking off two screws on the top and one on the side behind the side marker light. You access the side screw by lifting the hood.
Inspect the assy and see why the thing got loose. You might need to replace some of the plastic parts. Junk yard is a good source.
I clean headlights while they are out by removing bulb , squirting in a little dishwasher liquid, then agitating and rinsing well. Let them dry in the sun. They will look new.
