In addition to the tips ffom chrisx and Andrew, i would check the 3 wire connector and the wiring just ahead of the driver's door in the fender well. These wires rot and short out. You can test the driver's door switch from the door side connector. One of the 3 wires is common and the other two control, lock/unlock. Continuity will alternate between common and the other wires depending on door lock position.
You can also test the rest of the system from the harness side of this connector. Alternately jump the common wire to the other two and the doors should unlock and lock. If still no action here, then I would definitely suspect the controller that is fastened to a metal bracket on the plastic air distribution duct in the passenger footwell. I think the townsendimports.com tech bulletins has a good troubleshoot plan for testing the locks.
