'86 900T I have had a problem with the engine cutting out for no apparant associated with the radio going blank and losing memory. After looking for a long time and checking the ground connections over and over I finally found the problem. The negative battery cable was developing increased resistance that varied with temperature and movement of the cable. I travel a lot on gravel roads and the car would exhibit the cutting out and radio problem at random. Temperature and flexing of the cable seemed to increase resistance to point of losing all grounding through the battery cable even though connections were clean, tight and perfect. I only found it when problem got bad enough that engine was cutting out and would not restart (no crank even). Checked battery since no power and found no continuity from positive cable to body! Internal cable defect not visable. What a relief!
