Identifying a loose house on turbo

I recently picked up a 88 900 Turbo Cvt. I noticed today that there was a small house that looked as though it popped off where it was suppose to go, although it looked as though it had been off for a while. I will try to describe it... it is a small hose, like a vacum house, that comes from the top of the ignition distributor goes to the right of the motor over to the Air flow meter area. There are three plugs on the top, one has a similare house attached, the second plug is the one that I think this house came off and the third plug has a small rubber cap on it. I am not sure what this house is for or how it impacts the car's driving. I have since put it back on, but haven't driven it yet. It seems the most logical place for it, as it was just hanging there next to the open plug. I wonder if this has anything to do with turbo charger ?
