Your cruise control is not working for one ore more of the following reasons
1) the vaacum line connecting to the cruise control diaphragm is not connected or damaged
2) the diaphragm has a tear in it so it cannot hold pressure (this was the problem on mine)
3)The chain connecting the diaphragm to the gas pedal has become disconnected
4) the air vacuum pump for the cruise control is not working (drivers side wheel well towards the front. its held on with three rubber peg things)
5) the switch is bad on your switch arm. ( its probably fine)
I would guess its either a vaccuum line disconnected or there is a tear somewhere on the diaphragm. Make sure the vacuum line is connected to the black tube that comes out of the pump, not the white plastic one that is right next to it.
The turbo, make sure the vacuum line is connected. Just follow the line everywhere to make sure it is connected. You should try disconnecting the vaccum line at the turbo and blow into the tube and see if the gauge moves to make sure the gauge is working.
Let me know if have any problems. I just fixed the cruise control on my 1990 900S it was pretty easy exept for the removal of the lower dash. I only had to remove it because the diaphragm was in need of replacing. Hopefully yours isn't. You can do the same trick of blowing into the cruise control vacumm line to see if the system is holding pressure. You shouldn't be able to blow any air into it. Good luck!
