1990 900SPG

My AC stopped working so I thought I'd do the r12 to r134a conversion. I was able to find a local shop that ran the vac on the compressor ($30 bucks). Following other posts, I was ready for the new r134a. I set the AC on so I could fill the low pressure side, but the compressor would not engage.

From aalto's post, I tested for continuity at the low pressure switch on the receiver/dryer. It tested fine. I jumpped the wires and the ac cooling fan fires up but not the compressor. I tested for voltage at the compressor while the ac cooling fan was on and there was no voltage. Fuse it fine.

So here is my question. What do I do to troubleshoot an AC compressor that doesn't receive any voltage to it and won't engage?
