The pad below the instrument panel is held in place by three bolts. One is behind the ash tray, and the other two are located under the hood/bonnet on either side (10mm bolts if I remember correctly). It is probably best to first loosen the bolts in the engine bay and do the one behind the ashtray last to avoid damaging the pad when it comes loos.
The foot vent is held by philip or torx head screws located behind the pad.
