I have an 87 SPG. The body panels and the inclusion of all available options are really the only things special about it. The extra 5 horsepower is easily surpassed by doing your own modifications (about $30) or paying an independent Saab mechanic ($100-$200). Realize that if any part of the SPG trim is defective or missing, you are looking at hundreds of dollars to replace it. You will never find an individual part of the trim package used, so look at dealer prices. On the good side, an SPG is mechanically identical to a typical 900 turbo, so parts are not hard to find. I've had great experiences with eeuroparts.com and sasponline.com, and they both have phenomenal pricing.
