Check your brake pads - they may be rattling in the caliper vertically as the length of the steel backing may be too short where they rest on the carrier. I used a nylon zip tie on the carrier to make a "cushion" for the lower edge of the brake pad to rest on. Click on "more from andy" and look for a post within the last few weeks, I was thanking JG I think who answered my post about rattling in the brakes.
To test for it, drive the car over some rough pavement to recreate the noise, then as you hear the noise, pull up on the emergency brake enough to make the noise stop. If it stops, thats your problem. Keep your finger on the release button just in case. Good luck.
