(driveability/performance is otherwise strong?) but fuel pressure test (test gauge cheap to make DIY), esp how quickly pres comes up. Fuel filter may be partially clogged, fuel pump may be weakening (best tested w/oscilloscope), or may be fuel leak some where.
Vac leaks can be elusive: if not already doing, suggest disconnecting AIC, then starting car, and use propane torch w/hose (will record a CEL AIC code - just clear it) & ck for idle change; or commercial smoke product to pressurize induction system; or 'audio'/rubber hose like airline earphones for movies
Ck that TPS & NTC are within specs
AIC part of adaptive LH and "memorizes" last start position, so ck it's okay - within specs & clean
Ignition: plugs reasonably fresh, wires & rotor within specs, cap good
Have starter tested (they weaken w/age) [and batt load tested, as already suggested]
V-drop all wires/power/grounds in starting system (preferably just a few millivolts at most - >0.1V - 0.3V not good); clean/secure all major & related grounds
Does it happen to start any faster w/foot partially on throttle? if so, starting mixture is too rich
