it's been a long time since I posted...here's why:
This past Arpil i bought myself a '91 ragtop with only 50K on it to replace the old crotchety bastard with whom I'd struggled and kept alive the past year. After 193K on him, he needs a new tranny and, since I'm not quite ready to pay the doctor's bill, I've put him out to pasture for the moment to rest up.
Thusly, my new young vixen and I have been touring around the city and country, taking in the scenery when the weather has allowed. I've had no problems to report, and so I've only perused the postings here. Unfortunately, now I have questions to ask.....read on, brave soul.
The Vixen and I were spending time together a few days back when she complained that she hadn't had a bath in ages. After washing her down nicely and vacuuming her insides, I noticed that the driver's side carpet was moist. While this is normally a good thing in vixens, I found that her fluid was green rather than clear. I strolled down the CVS isles looking for a remedy, but could find none suitable for the symptoms. I turned to the Bently Bible instead and found that she may be leeking coolant from her heater core. I complimented myself for exciting her so, but this still has me concerned and i would like to reduce the flow as to prevent her from further internal damage. Bentley's does not detail a fix so I'm hoping you all could help.
To my knowledge, the Vixen has not dripped on my shoes thus I presume she drips after I leave her cozy confines. How do I get under there to get a glance at the problem? What is a likely remedy? How much with the remedy cost? Is it a job I should take to a real mechanic?
Any light you could shed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Phil
