Hey Steven-
Like Bill said, the lifter's cannot be serviced or adjusted, but I have had terrific luck with 'BG' products shutting up noisy lifter's (carbon can gum things up good). They make a cleaner that you dump in the oil, run the motor for a bit at idle, and then drain back out (simplified version of course, read the directions!!). They also make additives that you can run after the fact in the crankcase all the time, that I've heard only good things about (MOA I think).
They also have a great fuel system cleaner that I have used about twice a year (it's called 44K), since they came out with it, and it does a great job of keeping injectors clean and idle smooth.
Just my experiences of course, good luck!
Jeff
