The hoses you are describing are vacuum for the canister on the passenger side and for the turbopreassuresensor under your dash. This sensor will cut the fuelpump if the turbopreassure is too high. The hose also go to another sensor that tells the APC computer how much boost you have.
The other things described here, do get vacuum from the intake manifold, but not from the place you described.
The fuelpreassureregulator get vacuum from the top of the manifold (the same hose that is for the engineventilation on top of the head)
The BOV get its vacuum from the top of the throttlehousing.
If you have cruisecontrol it will run a vacuumhose from the outlet where the brakeamplifier get its vacuum.
Hope my English is understandable.. (I am only Norwegian...)
regards,
Mortimer
