tomorrow im going to my saab shop to have my airbag codes read, to find out why my light is on... But while its there, I need some ideas on what else can be done.
Im alllll angry about my saab right now, because my tires were garbage (185/x/x Sears 'weather handler' tires) and I promise they didnt handle any weather. So yea, I got in a fender bender while trying to stop down a rainy hill with another accident already in the road. I half fixed the damage myself because I cant justify 1500 dollars of out of pocket body work...I mean, that wont even give it many more horsepower.. (maybe 15 more hp??). FYI I drove from the accident to the ATM and then to the tire store. I now have 195/55/ yokohamas.
ok all that said, I want to be happy about my saab again and have something significantly improved to make it drive better. I am thinking its time to get suspension work done in the front. bushings and stuff.
my 91 900S 5spd has 150k miles on it, and not much has been done. Will the susp. work be noticable? whats something you all have fixed on your 900's that made you happy? Maybe a clutch? (mines about to go soon, I can disengage it with about an inch of clutch travel, and all the material is nearly gone from what I can see with the plastic cover off. ) Alot of these things I can fix myself too. I felt great after I cleaned all the contacts in my switch pack...all my windows work so good now. Soon im going to rebuild the motor/mechanisim thanks to twin saabs DIY.
