Faced with the same task, i bought one of the elcheapo 12 ton presses. Works great and use it for all sorts of bushings. It looks great in the garage and scares women and small children.
I do not have the specal arbor for the Saab bearings, but tolerate minor bending of the dust shields and just bend them back when done. Others have cut a removal slot in the metal to slide the shield off.
You do have to be very careful to line everything up squarely when pressing the new bearing in. I use the old bearing outer shell as an arbor to press in the bearing(it will not get stuck in the inner side of the spindle opening) and an old inner race to press the bearing/spindle onto the hub shaft. A heavy duty screw-type snap ring tool is also handy for removing and installing the snap rings.
