Water in the door

We've been getting lots of rain here in Atlanta, and the driver's side door of my '88 900 has started filling with water. I hear it sloshing around in there, then it eventually gets out when I drive it, but it takes a couple days. Has anyone else had this problem?
I can see where rain might come in at the window seals, but I don't have this problem on the passenger side. I'm thinking of drilling a hole in the bottom of the door so it can get out. Can anyone suggest where to drill first?
