I would still consider the fuel pump operation, even though you have fuel in the lines.
Question: You should hear the fuel pump come on for about 1-2 seconds when you first insert the ignition key and just turn to the "run" position without turning it all the way to start. If it does not then consider the
following:
1. Fuses, #30 (main power to fuel pump), #22 (control power for the fuel system) Fuse #30 is always powered with 12 VDC, with or without engine running
2. If fuses are ok then pull fuel pump relay and electrically jumper relay socket pins 30 and 87 with a short piece of electrical wire. The pump should come on when the socket pins are shorted (you will hear it without running the engine). When you pull the fuel pump relay out you will notice the relay socket has 5 pins. Two sockets are oriented toward the front and back of the car, two sockets are oriented toward the engine and toward the fender of the car, and the fifth is in the center of the other four. The two you would short is the two which is toward the engine and toward the fender. The socket pin in the center is not used in the test nor are the ones which face forward or back. BTW, the car could be started this way but I would not recommend keeping the jumper in and running the car this way. The fuel pump relay also serves to cut off the engine fuel pump if spark is lost.
You can get a copy of the wiring diagram from my web page on the 85 900
