A rear grounding problem?

Hello. I have a '90 900S. Last night when I was driving home, I used the turn signal to change lanes into a turn lane at a light. The signal worked fine. When I slowed down, the turn signal stopped blinking and both turn signal arrows in the dash had a very faint glow to them. As soon as I let off of the brakes, the signals started blinking again. When I got home, I looked out the back the best I could and noticed that when I pushed the brake pedal, the turn signal lights came on solid as well as the third brake light. The other brake lights didn't light up.
Is this common with the grounding problem I have read about in numerous posts on this board? I am going to check the fuses and bulbs as well, but I didn't know if adding another ground wire would be the fix for my problem or if this was something different. Any advice would be greatly appreciated . Thanks.
