Thanks for the info.
I have only seen one of the later spec cores on eBay. Most of them are the plastic tanked version with the 15 tubes. I am thinking of a side-by-side setup as well, with the intercooler flowing bottom to top. My current intercooler has very thin tubes, is of a similar width to 2 Blackstone cores, but is around 3"-3.5" in width, but it flows left to right on the vehicle which makes tubing quite long and complicated. Very nice intercooler, but I think something better can be made even if that means 2.5" width instead. Actually, with the size of the cores and the fact I will lose tanks on the ends I will be able to use a 3-core setup which would just about get me the bar & plate efficiency with the tube & fin flow. :)
I was really hoping they were bar & plate, which was basically started when I saw a Saab intercooler advertised on eBay as bar & plate, but tube & fin is no problem especially with the flow capability I have heard of. :)
