Your car being an '87 should have non-vented rotors. There are however some '87s that have vented rotors.
But there's a contradiction in your story. Because if you had vented rotors, you'd also have the post '87 type calipers, and they don't need to be screwed in, they can be pushed back.
The decisive difference in systems is where your e-brake/parking brake is, back or front. Front is the pre '87, back is the post '87 type.
But that's not your real problem. That is that someone screwed up your brake system REAL bad. As there are no seals in the caliper (other than the rings around the piston) they must have blown up something else further down the line.
Sorry to say, but I think you have to take the car to some official saab shop, have them estimate the damage and see if there's any chance you can charge to the one who f###ed up your car.
